What the procedure involves

Depending on the pattern: plates and screws, an intramedullary nail, or an external fixator. Non-unions are treated by revising the fixation and adding biology — bone graft plus correcting the reason healing stalled. Most cases are done under regional or general anaesthesia with a one to three night stay.
